Excellence powered by a neurodivergent team

What was the catalyst for founding Aspiritech?

Aspiritech was founded in 2008 by two parents, Brenda and Moshe Weitzberg, who were searching for meaningful employment for their adult autistic son, Oran. At the time, there were virtually no career pathways designed to harness autistic strengths rather than force individuals to mask them. What began as a single-purpose social enterprise has grown into one of the largest employers of autistic adults in North America, proving that neurodivergent professionals don't just belong in the workplace; they thrive in it.

How do you build relationships with individuals and families that need help?

Everything starts with listening. Families and individuals reach out through Aspiritech Academy, our community programs, or direct referrals, and we meet them where they are. Our Academy instructors—many of whom are neurodivergent themselves—have personal conversations with prospective students to understand their interests, strengths, and goals before they ever step into a classroom. Beyond training, our "Stepping Up & Out" program has been creating safe, low-pressure spaces for autistic adults to build friendships and community since 2012. We also maintain the ACE Fund, a donor-powered safety net that helps our employees weather unexpected financial crises, because we know that supporting the whole person—and their family—means showing up when life gets hard.

How many people have you served in the communities in which you operate?

Today, Aspiritech employs about 100 autistic professionals, with over 90% of our team on the autism spectrum. We serve more than 75 corporate clients—from startups to global enterprises—across quality assurance, cybersecurity, accessibility, data services, and managed IT. Through Aspiritech Academy, we are on track to train150+ neurodivergent adults across our programs in 2026 alone. And since 2012, our Stepping Up & Out community program has provided ongoing social connection and support for countless autistic adults and their families. The ripple effect extends into every family, workplace, and community we touch.

How can we get involved?

There are so many ways to join this work. Individuals can donate—one-time or monthly—to fund Academy scholarships, the ACE Fund employee safety net, or Stepping Up & Out community activities. Companies can become clients, partners, or apprenticeship sponsors, giving neurodivergent professionals real project experience while solving genuine business needs. Professionals can join our Advisory Board or sign up to mentor Academy students. And community organizations, universities, and service providers can partner with us to expand referral pathways. Every contribution—time, funding, or advocacy—helps us build a world where neurodivergent talent is recognized as a competitive advantage.

What is one thing you want everyone to know about Aspiritech?

We are not a charity that happens to do technology; we are a professional technology services organization that happens to be run by autistic professionals. Our teams deliver exceptional work because of how our brains are wired, not in spite of it. If you believe, as we do, that all brains are brilliant, then Aspiritech is proof that when you design workplaces around neurodivergent strengths, everybody wins.
